  This series is unique as it was my very first Chapter Book at the website.

  After Amazon cut my account and I left my publisher, my BFF and I started our own company. KJ Dahlen Books. Then we made a website so our readers could find my books and purchase them again.

  One of the things I’d always wanted to do was to give away free chapters for my fans to read. So, we began at the site with 2 chapters a week. It grew and the readership for this story grew until it became a twice a week MC Soap segment with fans bursting at the seams for more. My readers watch it evolve and are there on my writing journey with me and I experience a whole new way to spin the story. It has been the most fun I ever had while writing books.

  Now, we have quite a few new KJ Dahlen Series built from Chapter Books, and the Lost Sons MC has the distinction of being the very first one.

  But when I get home again, there’s more than just a new front door. There’s also a hellcat with a shotgun waiting for me. And she claims Bear owns the ranch not me...

  And if I don’t listen, she’s got a shotgun shell filled with lead pellets with my name on it.

  The thing is I think she really means it and it looks like the roller coaster is about to freefall again.

  It’s taken me some time to find a particular wart on my ass but I finally ran him down to Killeen, Texas where my grandson Bear lives. I know I’m an older broad but I’ve never taken anyone shit before and I’m not about to start now.

  When someone breaks into my grandson’s ranch, I do the only thing I can. I hold him off with Cloe, my favorite shotgun. He raises all kinds of hell and tells me the ranch belongs to him, not Bear.

  Turns out, he’s right. Bear never did tell me the ranch was his, I just assumed and everyone knows what happens when you assume... On top of all that, he’s a biker and mighty fine looking to boot.

  Oh, this is going to be fun. I just have to remember the reason I’m here, to right a wrong and pepper and ass with buckshot.

  My family came together and fought to take back what was stolen from us and we won. Then one by one, my brothers found their futures. I’m the last one to find mine, but that’s okay. I want the kind of love my parents have, one that last the next fifty years or longer.

  Then I see a young woman being tased. I knock him out cold then I take her home with me, as she doesn’t seem to have anyone else. But when her story comes out, I know I did the right thing to save her. She ran away from an intolerable situation but that doesn’t mean the situation is going to go away.

  Then I notice something puzzling about her, why does she have the same birthmark as my old boss? Then I noticed she has his unique eye color too. He once told me the color only belonged to his family. When I asked her what her name was, I was stunned. I didn’t know what was going on here, but when I called him to tell him about her, I opened up a can of worms that couldn’t be closed again—now only the truth will save them bot
h and me as well.

  All my life, I’ve been afraid of my father. He was a monster my mom and I feared. And we both suffered under his rule. Then one night, my mom came to me and she begged me to run, to get as far away from where we lived, as I could get.

  I didn’t want to leave her but she and I both knew I had to. I had to get away before he married me off to a sadistic man. I left in the darkness and I stayed in the shadows for weeks. I thought I was safe but then someone found me. And he was going to take me back.

  Then I was saved by a man I didn’t know but he became my hero. He got us out of there and told me I would never have to go back. Again, I thought I was safe until my father found me again. But before he could drag me out of there, the truth came out—then all hell broke loose and the last man standing was a surprise to everyone.

  The day was sunny at the Young ranch. Flowers were blooming and birds were chirping.

  Silas stood on the porch looking around. He never figured life would turn out like this.

  His family was all lined up at the steps. All of them grinning and snickering.

  “Oh, shut the hell up!” he shouted.

  They all laughed outright now.

  “So where is she?” Bear asked him from the line.

  “Hells if I know,” Silas grumbled. “That woman has her own time clock, ya know? She shoulda been ready an hour ago.”

  “Oh, shut up, you old reprobate,” Midge said as she came out the door.

  Silas felt warm all over as he turned to his new bride. She looked beautiful in her yellow sundress, still holding her Sunflower bouquet. Hot damn, he got hard just looking at her. He sure as hell wasn’t gonna let the crowd see his tented jeans though. He tugged his dress jacket down lower. “Bout time woman. We got a honeymoon to get to.”

  Her face flushed. “Bout time for that too, I mean with the kids...” She turned her gaze to glare at them all. “Keeping us separate till our wedding night? For a whole week?”

  More sniggering rippled along the small crowd standing below them.

  “You two seniors move too damn slow!” Tate called up.
